OCS Fine Arts Department Home

The Fine Arts program is an important part of the education received at Ovilla Christian School. From K4-High School, students receive a well-rounded instruction in the arts.

The Fine Arts program includes music classes, drama and art. In the elementary program, students are taught the basic elements of art and music on a weekly basis. In the secondary program students have the opportunity to participate in art, drama, speech and choir with honors courses available in each area. While students learn in the classroom, they have the opportunity to develop their skills at the competitive level as well. OCS Fine Arts falls under the rules of the ACSI and TAPPS organizations. Secondary music ensembles participate in the TPSMEA organization as well.

It is our goal for the the student to develop God given abilities to glorify Him in all that he/she does. Also to strengthen confidence in the student and help him/her understand the expression of emotion and the power that the arts have to effectively further the Kingdom of God.
